The GIMP

GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages. (more...)

FROM THE WEBSITE: "This is the official GIMP web site. It contains information about downloading, installing, using, and enhancing it. This site also serves as a distribution point for the latest releases. We try to provide as much information about the GIMP community and related projects as possible. Hopefully you will find what you need here. Grab a properly chilled beverage and enjoy."

Michael J. Hammel from his Graphics Muse Blog, has produced some stunning examples of what's possible with the GIMP. These are scaled-down thumbnails so I recommend a visit to Mr. Hammel's blog to see his artistry in higher resolution.

Favorite Flickr Photos

I love Flickr and have many, many, many images in my "favorites." Here's a mosaic of just a few of them. Clicking on a thumbnail will take you to that image's page on Flickr where you can see it full-sized.
